After nearly three decades building and leading TPN, culminating in a successful sale to Omnicom Group (NYSE:OMC), our founder started advising and investing to transform entrepreneurial potential into performance.
As a principal of TPN, Rich built a regional agency into a global leader in commerce marketing, achieving annual revenue over $100 million. Under his leadership, TPN evolved from traditional consumer promotions to pioneering shopper and commerce marketing, setting the pace in omnichannel marketing for clients including PepsiCo, Clorox, Hershey, Walmart, Bank of America, AT&T, and Grupo Bimbo. Rich helped companies consistently reinvent themselves and has built enduring client partnerships with average retention of 17 years and a 90% referral rate.
Rich currently serves as a member of HBS Angels, an investor group of Harvard Business School alumni focused on early-stage startups. He also serves as President of The Smart Family Foundation and on the boards of Steppenwolf Theater, Lincoln Park Zoo, and the Members Investors’ Council at The University of Chicago Crime Lab.
He earned an AB from Vassar College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
